Some weekend wind!

I wasn't really intending to take all these but it just kind of happened...
This dog is happiest when his ears are in the wind!
Dang... he got to ride a four-wheeler this weekend at the cabin (didn't get pic) but it happened! And now I'm laughing just thinking about it - did we really do that?
Oh... yes we did!
There's something about golden retriever's I'm telling you! I've never had one until this guy... but I'd swear he's part human. I can't tell you how many people have said to me "They are people with four legs!"
Happiest with the wind is in his hair...

This view is nice too... just not as nice as the first one, and definitely not the preferred view.

And the view inside the car, well - not so much... lots of huffs and puffs on the four hour ride this weekend!
Luckily....
There are lots of small towns along the way where we slow down to 30mph... so we can take breaks to get some air!
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Are you smiling yet?
I hope so!

Beach Day

Spending time near God's gifts is good for the soul.
This water revives me.
Soothes me.
Energizes me.
Inspires me.
Brings me joy and peace.
The power of the great Gitche Gumee!

Somehow I think the lake does the same for by best friend too...

Where do you find energy? Revival? Inspiration? Peace?
I'd love to hear about it!
I hope you can escape there soon....

Friday's Bliss List

What's the Bliss List?!? Over at Liv's blog she celebrates the positive and I'm all about that! When we celebrate the good... more good comes! Being on the frequency of joy brings more JOY!
Yea to joy....

What a week I have had! Two days ago I started taking care of this guy!

While my bother looks for a new place, Mogley will be staying at our house!
I LOVE dogs, really if I could I would have 10 of them. But I can't, because well that would be insane and overwhelming, and I'd be... the crazy dog lady. Mogley is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO super hyper. Nothing like my chilled out golden. So I was a little overwhelmed this week- but thanks to the Radiant Goddess
e-course I am surviving a little bit of chaos and feeling awesome today!

So instead of choosing to focus on the negative I am focusing on a few of the positives for the week!

1. Thankful for my sweet and gentle giant who is perfect for me (Gift from God - wow!) literally both photos taken within the same minute...

2. Getting to celebrate my brother's 21st birthday with him last night! Makes me feel old.
3. Meditation - meditated daily has REALLY been awesome this week!
4. Seeing the Monarch's every where! They POPPED out a couple of days ago and they make me so happy every time I see them.
5. The most kind and giving mother - who just never stops GIVING. Gives all the time. LOTS OF LOVE. Gives everything, to everyone.
6. Thankful for the weekend ahead - lots of fun stuff planned for mothers day!
7. The amazing Goddess Circle
Hope you all have an amazing weekend! Happy Mother's day!
XOXOX

My best friend has a husky... and I have a golden...
and my best friend and I love to have coffee - or as we like to call it our house JAVA!
Nothing like a little jolt to inspire you!

Doggie Happy Hour

We've been having such beautiful unseasonably warm weather here in MN that I've been taking goldy to the dog park by our house nearly every day! I feel so blessed to have this park 2 minutes from my house. My dog has the best time in the world going there and he's even lost some weight.
I brought my girlfriend and her 3 daughters to the park this past weekend, and they were delighted to see all the different breeds and wagging tails! It's such a happy place to go... I meet new people, bud meets new dogs! It's the best happy hour and stress relief! I love how animals can bring us so much joy and happiness!

Here are a few pics from our dog park adventures....
the temps here are now are FREEZING! There were 7 golden's in the same little area
at once. It's hard to believe this was only a couple of days ago!

Today my husband brought Bud and he was the only one crazy enough to be there with a windchill of 10 below zero!

What have you been up to so far this winter?

Making Homemade Dog Bones!

Who doesn't love the classic throw it in the air and catch it trick!?
I've always wanted to make my own dog biscuits but it's always just been on that list of things I want to do....
So I took action the other night! My mom borrowed me some bone cookie cutters over a year ago, and I finally used them! I hopped onto google and looked up some recipes at this website! Buddy LOVES peanut butter so...
I started with this SUPER EASY recipe:

Peanut Butter Goodness Dog Treats

1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1 1/2 cups white flour
1/2 cup peanut butter (all-natural or organic if you have it)
1 cup water
2 tablespoons oil

Preheat the oven to 350 F. Combine oil, peanut butter and water. Add flour, one cup at a time, forming a dough. Knead dough into firm ball and roll to 1/4 inch thickness.
Roll out the dough and cut with your favorite cookie cutters and
Bake at 350 F for 20 minutes.

Buddy is SO flippin smart, I told him I was making him some bones... he was so excited with anticipation! He kept sniffing the oven.
We also made this recipe since Biggie loves carrots!

Veggie Bones Ingredients:

2 3/4 C. Flour
2 Tbls. Bran
2 Tsp. Baking Powder
3 Tsp. Minced Fresh Parsley (good for doggie breath)
1/4 C. Shredded Carrots
1/4 C. Shredded Cheese (your choice--mozzarella, cheddar)
2 Tbls. Olive Oil
1/2 Tsp. Flaxseed (optional)
1/2 C. Water

Directions:
Preheat oven 350 degrees. Lightly grease a cookie sheet. Mix together parsley, carrots, cheese and oil. Combine the dry ingredients separately from the veggie mixture. Slowly add 1/2 c. water and mix well. Dough should be moist but not wet. Knead for a minute.

Roll out dough to 1/4" thickness. Using cookie cutters of your choice, cut out shapes and place on baking sheet.
Bake 20-30 minutes until biscuits have browned and hardened slightly. They will continue to harden as they cool. Store in an airtight container once throughly cooled.

He patiently waits...

Spoiled golden at this house!
